Farce fun for season's first

Sep 2 2011

LICHFIELD Players are showcasing their new talent with this season’s first production, ‘Caught in the Net’.

Written by Ray Cooney, the hilarious farce is the sequel to the popular ‘Run for Your Wife’ and revolves around bigamist taxi driver John Smith, played by Greg Spencer in his first role with the Players, who lives a double life.

Spending time with wife Michelle and family in Stockwell and wife Stephanie and kids in Finsbury, John is still busy keeping both unaware of each other.

Unfortunately his son and daughter, Sam Crawford and Annie Blackwell, also new to the Players, have met on the internet and want to see each other because they have so much in common. Inevitable chaos ensues.

The play runs from Wednesday September 14 to Saturday 17 at the Lichfield Garrick.

Tickets are £10, concessions £9 and £6. To book contact the Box Office on 01543 412121 or visit www.lichfieldgarrick.com.
