DANCE the night way to the tropical sounds of Haiti at a special fundraising night for the victims of the Caribbean island’s earthquake this Friday, February 5. Spinning the wheels of steel are DJs Zuppa Inglese and Elastico with special guest Cathryn Beroard-Gabbidon on zouk playing the music of Haiti. In addition, as well as their usual eclectic collections of music from Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean, they’ll be bringing the fresh delights from the best in new flamenco and Rumba gitana plus lots of Haitian dance music as part of the night. Music rarely heard in the UK but more than enough to get toes tapping. The venue is upstairs The Cross Bar, 145 Alcester Road, Moseley, B13 8JP and the music runs from 9-1pm. Entry is £4 before 9.30pm, £5 after and all money raised going to the victims of the Haiti earthquake. |
