Festival hit Beth to return

Oct 23 2009

ONE of the hits from this year’s Moseley Folk Festival will be returning to Birmingham early next month.

Beth Jeans Houghton will be performing at the Lunar Society night in Kings Heath, an event staged by the festival organisers on the first Friday of every month.

Beth plays the event at the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath on November 6, supported by Friends of the Stars and Banksa.

With her alternative blend of experimental folk, Beth has been hailed by the NME as “a Joni Mitchell for the anti-folk generation”.

With influences ranging from Frank Zappa, Vashti Bunyan, Fourtet and Love, Beth has cultivated a sound that is truly her own.

Beth is currently writing/recording, and is gigging regularly throughout the UK

Admission is £5 and the event runs from 8pm until late.
