HIGHBURY Theatre Centre will be hosting an exhibition by artist, Leonard Baden Roberts, during the runs of ‘Cash on Delivery’ and ‘Strictly Murder,’ from February 2.

A retired worker from Fort Dunlop, Len has been painting for over forty years – developing his own distinctive style in his chosen media of oils.

He is a member of Sutton Coldfield Society of Artists, and also paints with a small group meeting on a Thursday night.

He has exhibited at both Sutton Coldfield and Erdington libraries, and this is his second exhibition at Highbury, with new paintings for people to see. Len says after experimenting with other media he chose oil to work with, as he finds it is gives him the depth and reality he wants to achieve.

His work covers a variety of subjects, landscapes, animals, and birds, and his work will be on sale.

Len is having a Meet the Artist Coffee Morning at the Theatre on Sunday, January 31, from 10am until 12 noon. Entrance is free and all are welcome.

The exhibition can also be viewed from opening night of Cash on Delivery on February 2, for six weeks during box office hours (week nights 7.30 to 9pm and Wednesday mornings, 10am until 12 noon).

Ticket prices for ‘Cash on Delivery’ and ‘Strictly Murder’ are £10 and £9. To book call the box office on 0121 373 2761.
