Spartans 25 Old Silhillians 12 Spartans bounced back from the previous week’s disappointment, to secure a priceless win against a useful Silhillians side, which moves the Coppice Lane team two points off fourth spot, with two games in hand. Spartans broke the deadlock when flanker Michael Foulds crashed through to score. Silhillians responded immediately when a gaping hole in the blindside defence was exploited and scores levelled. Spartans regained the lead straight after the restart. And Hardy’s well struck conversion saw two points added, before Silhillians hit back with a try. As time ran out, Spartans finished the stronger, and slick backline handling sent fullback Blair through the defence, to score a try and secure another two points for the men in black. |
