Sutton 1st XV celebrated their first home game of the league season with an emphatic win over local rivals Lichfield. It was another blistering start for the side who scored three converted tries inside eight minutes to stun their visitors. Once again it was a fine team effort, the forwards providing the platform for some free-flowing back play. Will Cotterill, Lichfield’s stand-out performer, did manage to muster the consolation that keeps Sutton off of top spot, but Sutton had the last laugh with an Alan Keylock try. On Saturday Sutton are away to Burton. |
