STREETLY look on course to be crowned Warwickshire Premier Division champions, coming away with good results from the bank holiday weekend. The Sutton Coldfield side took 35 points from their two games and increased their lead at the top of the table to 37 points with three games remaining. Tomorrow (Saturday) Streetly play Atherstone Town and if the results go their way Streetly could be promoted to the Birmingham league for the first time in the clubs history. On Monday they defeated Solihull Blossomfield by four wickets, scoring 144 for six before skittling out their visitors for 139. On Saturday they went to Solihull to play second placed Olton. The home side enjoyed a knock of 234 and Streetly were on 125 for four when the match was abandoned due to the weather. |
