In the Knockout Trophy of the Wyndley Badminton League John Macdonald progressed to the last 16 winning 21-7 21-8, with Ray Woodford joining him after a win over Paul Kerry 21-16 21-11. Kevin Dodd defeated Peter Quinn 22-20 21-10 in the Plate competition with Gerry Leighton also sailing through against Alex McWhinnie 21-10 21-17. In Division 5, Kevin Dodd beat Andrew Dyke 2-12 21-10, with Girish Gupte beating James Clark 21-10 21-9 in Division 3. Danny Hughes beat Tim Bayliss 2-0 in Division 1, with Phil Nobbs beating Tony Cupitt in Division 2. |
