Hightown too quick in Premier debut

Sep 27 2011

Sutton Coldfield 1 Bowdon Hightown 4

SUTTONS first game back in the top flight of ladies hockey - the EHL Womens Premier Division - saw them face last years 4th place finishers and cup-winners Hightown.

After taking an early lead the away sides experience showed in the 10th minute where some smooth passing was clinically finished. Hightown added a third goal and although Charlene Mason got one back the visitors added a fourth.

Next week the firsts play Birmingham University.

Meanwhile Sutton Mens 1st beat Old Halesonians 5-1 taking the lead after the umpire missed Alex Johnson, having missed the ball with his stick, accidently kicking it into the goal.
