In Division 1 of the Wyndley Badminton League, Danny Hughes had a super 2-0 win against Paul Whitehouse, with Gerry Leighton recording two 2-0 wins against Osman Stackhouse and Paul Atkins in Division 3. Hannah Chantler’s first two games did not go to plan as she lost 2-0 to both Khurum Afzal and Simon Gamble in Division 4. In the Knockout Trophy, last year’s runner-up Giriuh Gupte defeated John Russell 21-12 21-11, with Gary Flanagan having a cracking 21-10 21-9 win against Nicola Fenwick in the Plate competition to reach the last 16. |
