Town pays tribute to the fallen on Sunday

Nov 14 2011

Cillian O'Brien

TRIBUTE will be paid to Sutton Coldfields armed forces with services in the town this Remembrance Sunday.

A Royal British Legion parade, Sutton Coldfield Branch, will travel from King Edward Square at 10.15am to Holy Trinity Parish Church for the towns main Remembrance Service.

The Last Post followed by two minutes silence and reveille will take place in the church and the parade will then return to King Edward Square for the laying of wreaths at the war memorial.

A remembrance service will also be held at Wamley War Memorial on Sunday from 10.45am.

Wreaths will be laid during the service by New Hall councillor David Barrie and local schoolchildren and members of the boys brigade and girl guides will also contribute.

Refreshments will be available afterwards across the road in St Johns Church.
