A new game about gangs, guns, drugs and auto-theft comes in the form of Saints Row 2, the sequel of the outstanding Saints Row. The game starts off with you in prison, in which after a cut-scene you get to customize your character with tons of features to use (if you decide you want to change something about your character later on, you can just go to the plastic surgeons with $500).
Anyway the game has great online potential, as well as 2p co-op, in which you can destroy the cities with a mate. There are many good things in the game, such as the sharp controls, as it isn't one of those games where they do the exact opposite of what you intend them to do.
Also it is just right, not to easy, you cou could do it in your sleep, but it isn't to difficult to leave you screaming at the t.v., after playing it. It also plays well with others making it quite a good small party game, it is also quite brutal and has a great variety of things to do such as in-game games; like doing handstands on moving cars!
It also has very satisfying combat and you can throw people up to 20ft!. There aren't many bad things about it and most of the bad things are minor, such as flimsy body parts and the small gun inventory compared to GTA's.
One of the great thing about this game is the guns, they rock like the stun gun or the assult rifle because they have a very realistic feel to them for some reason.
The missions are always action-packed and the sand-box characteristics make the game that much better. All in all the graphics are superb and the sound effects realistic. I think that it is rare to come across an excellent 3rd person sand-box shooter this good. |
